Queensland state schools are the most underfunded in the country and teachers and students pay the price – with unsustainable teacher workloads, lack of basic resources, and oversized classes.
Join union members, teachers, parents, and members of the community to discuss what we can do to win some positive changes for Queensland state schools. With an upcoming Federal election and a new EBA for Queensland state school teachers next year there is a good opportunity to win some real change.
Panel:
- Penny Allman-Payne: State school teacher for 25 years, active member of the Queensland Teachers’ Union and Queensland Greens senate candidate
- Phil Monsour: State school teacher and active member of the Queensland Teachers’ Union
- Amy MacMahon: Greens Member for South Brisbane
Facilitated by Max Chandler-Mather, Greens candidate for Griffith
We are also running a survey for teachers and parents about workloads and school funding. If you're a teacher or parent at a Queensland state school, please take the survey – it takes just 3 minutes and will help us build the case for fully funded schools.
