Labor's plan to demolish and rebuild the Gabba stadium will leave 3 inner city suburbs without a public school, destroy precious green space and waste at least $2.7 billion.
While the state Labor government talks a lot about the need for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics to leave a positive legacy, it's pretty clear that the biggest legacy will be losing the much loved East Brisbane State School (which sits next to the stadium) and Raymond Park in Kangaroo Point which will be completely replaced by a warm-up track.
The community isn't accepting this and are asking supporters across South East Queensland to join them in protest. Come along to hear from local residents, families who are set to lose their school and the Greens representatives for the area.
