Solutions to Flight Noise

You are invited to a community forum, hosted by Max Chandler-Mather, Greens candidate for Griffith, on the issue of unsustainable aircraft noise at Seven Hills Hub on Sunday 2nd May at 2pm. You will hear from the president of Brisbane Flight Path Community Alliance (BFPCA) David Diamond, Senator Larissa Waters, and affected local residents. Residents will have the opportunity to voice their ideas for how we as a community can win real solutions.

Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) has produced a flight path operational model that maximises profit at the expense of residents and the environment. Neither Airservices Australia nor the Federal Government have provided any meaningful oversight, while Brisbane Airport is exempt from state level noise pollution laws.

Aircraft noise is taking a terrible toll on many peoples’ lives and at a broader level this is an important insight into the power big corporations wield and the legal system that allows them to do it.

If you have the time you can read Max's broader thoughts and proposed solutions here.
