Flight Noise Community Strategy Meeting

Brisbane residents suffer from the worst flight noise in the country, and more and more people are missing out on a good night’s sleep and the quiet enjoyment of their home since the opening of the second runway.

We’re fighting for real action on flight noise including a flight cap and 10pm-6am curfew, and a long-term operating plan for more flights over the water. Measures like these are already in place at Sydney Airport and others around the world.

I’ve introduced a bill to parliament to tackle flight noise, and a Senate inquiry initiated by the Greens is now helping build the case for change, but with big airline corporations and both major parties standing in the way, we need your help to make it happen.

Join us for a community strategy meeting for an update on our plan and to discuss the next steps in this important campaign.

With guests:

  • Prof Marcus Foth, Chair of Brisbane Flight Path Community Alliance
  • Linda Barry, Greens for Bulimba
