My team and I are hosting a free lunchtime BBQ on Tuesday, August 27, from 12:00-1:30 pm, at Monte Carlo Caravan Park in Cannon Hill.

We’re doing this to stand in solidarity with the residents who are fighting to save their homes and lifestyle from developers who have already demolished 42 out of 143 homes.

Everyone is welcome to join us for a meal and to show support. Please invite your friends and family, and feel free to make protest signs —they'll look great in photos and help amplify our message!

We need your support to prevent this destruction and to protect affordable housing for people on fixed incomes. By gathering together, we can draw attention to this injustice and push for real action from our government.

We’ll have vegan and gluten-free options available, along with some activities to keep the kids entertained.

So, take a break from your day, bring a picnic blanket, and come enjoy a free bite to eat while we stand together as a community!
