My office, along with the wonderful Cannon Hill YMCA, are running a free football tournament for young people aged between 12 and 17 on the last day of the school holidays in July. Put together a team and come along to win great prizes and play games with your local community.

The tournament itself will be teams of 5-7 players, with separate divisions of ages 12/13, 14/15, 16/17. Think round-robin! There will be separate boys and girls comps for each age group and all divisions will have the option of taking home a winning prize.

We know how important community sport is for families and young people. But with a growing community and the cost of everything going up, it’s becoming harder for many families and community clubs to keep up. There’ll be a full day of competitive football games, and if you're coming along to spectate, there will be food, music, and activities for spectators young and old.
